Why this day is important and where will Anne be that day? The first Annual World Giraffe Day originated five years ago as a way to bring awareness to the issues giraffes face. Conservation of this iconic species is urgent, so what can you do? We recommend supporting any of the three organizations endorsed by Anne Innis Dagg on the Take Action section of our website (and share the news with everyone you know who cares about wildlife!)
Meet Anne and her daughter Mary at the Toronto Zoo – Anne and her daughter Mary Dagg will be spending the longest day of the year with the tallest animals at the Toronto Zoo, in the Giraffe House signing autographs and mingling with those who visit on June 21. There will be special souvenir postcards for those who arrive early. The event starts at 11 am and goes until 3 pm.
